Have You Ever Wondered Why The Jews Don’t Tithe?

moneyHave you wondered why the Jews [to whom the commandment of tithe was given] don’t tithe today? The answer is because the religious Jews are very sincere and fear God, therefore, the Jewish rabbis aren’t interested in robbing their fellow Jews by collecting tithes (unlike Christians) because they know that the temple where the storehouse was located has been destroyed and they can accurately trace the lineage of the Levites [the Jewish tribe commanded by God to collect the tithes] who no longer exist. During the exodus, the children of Israel used mobile tents for meetings, but in the process of time the Israelites left the system of pitching mobile tabernacles and built a permanent temple in Jerusalem. In the temple, there was a place called the storehouse, which was a room, a chamber called “azure” [the “treasure” house] where the tithe was to be kept (Nehemiah 13:5-12). The Hebrew Bible mandates a complicated system of tithes, both terumah and ma’aser, that are set aside for the priests, the Levites and the poor (Leviticus 27:31-33, Numbers 18:21-32 Deuteronomy 14:22-7 and 26:12). According to the Rabbis, the laws of tithing apply only to the land of Isreal. Farmers outside the land have no obligation whatsoever to give tithes, although some Jews in diaspora did. After the first tithe was taken, another tenth was separated and this was either the second tithe or third tithe, depending on the year of the sabbatical cycle. In years one, two, four and five the second tithe was separated and brought to Jerusalem where it was consumed by the original owner. If it was too difficult to move that much produce to Jerusalem, the farmer was allowed to sell the produce and then use the funds to repurchase food (any food) in Jerusalem and eat that. In years three and six, the farmer separated the third tithe (also known as the poor tithe) and donated it to the poor. After the destruction of the Temple, people were no longer to bring the “second tithe” to Jerusalem to eat it (for reasons that I wont go into right now). Today, some Jews donate a tenth of their annual income to tzedakah in fulfillment of their third tithe for the poor. The entire concept of tithing in the Christian community was adopted from the laws of tithing that God commanded only the Jews to do, and has been turned into a very elaborate brainwashing system used as a means of fleecing millions if not billions of ignorant, unlearned people! In the man-made religion called Christianity, “tithes” is money given to the pastor to pay his bills and buy luxury items such as cars, houses, property and clothing as well as various other selfish, ungodly, useless items.

Tithe For The Poor

  1. This is why the Christians hate the Jews… other than them being brainwashed against them, the Jews are spoiling the Christians get rich quick schemes! Truth be told, we are supposed to be learning from the Jews, God made a covenant with THEM, they know who God is, they know the truth.

  2. Wow! You’ve taught me something for sure. This is not taught in church and I can see why it never will be taught. The truth would open the eyes of the people and they would stop giving their money to the church thus bankrupting them.

  3. I think that condemning us Christians without educating us first is unjust. If truly God has opened your eye to see this wrong, know that it is your task to educate us Christians.

I have asked the tithe questions for years now and most Christians do not what to interrogate the issue. Please help us

    • “Concerned” did you actually READ this blog? If you READ IT, you will learn something! This isn’t about “condemning Christians” it’s about teaching those who want to know the truth and walk in that truth. The only one’s attacking Christians are Christians themselves by lying to and robbing the masses by using the tithe and offering lie.

  4. I took it upon myself to do the OPPOSITE of what my pastor taught me to do, he always discouraged us from learning anything outside of what he was telling us in church. I started with reading history of the Romans and the Jews and all of the wars that went on, and Julius Ceaser. Pompey, etc who they all hated the Jews and were jealous of their God (the One and only God). I learned how they created Christianity and made it a mirror of sorts of Judaism, since God called them the chosen ones the Christians created their own god (Jesus) and made their own rules but ascribed them as given to them by God. The tithe is another thing that they mimicked and used to their advantage and because Christians DONT READ, they have been made fools of by these false pastors and prophets into giving their hard earned money to support their useless lifestyles! There is nothing wrong with giving money to a WORTHY CAUSE such as feeding a family that is poor, etc. But just know where the whole concept of tithing came from- it came from God to THE JEWS ONLY, and no one will be “cursed with a curse” if they don’t tithe, this is another lie that I was taught in church. I have not stepped foot inside of a church for over 20 years and therefore have not tithed and nothing bad has happened to me, in fact I have actually been very blessed now that I have stopped giving what God has blessed me with into falsehood. Over tithe past 10 years, however I have OF MY OWN FREE WILL, given some money, whatever I can afford to help a certain Rabbi spread the truth and feed the poor. Thanks again for the post.

  5. They give chuva and aren’t threatened by death threat if they don’t do it. Pentecostals say you will be cursed with a curse if you dont give to pastor. Chai na lie! The biggest lie I ever heard. It’s so terrible this lie they tell just for money, for money O! Can you imagine? They have their heaven here in this filthy earth, and they don’t care if they go to hell or not. Chai, people wake up.
