Thanksgiving is America’s preeminent day and is celebrated every year on the fourth Thursday in the month of November. Its origin can be traced back to the 16th century when the first thanksgiving dinner is said to have taken place. Have you ever wondered why a big feast is customary in celebrating the holiday called Thanksgiving? Most likely, you haven’t, which is what’s wrong with this society, especially Christians. We participate BLINDLY in holidays and ceremonies without questioning their origins because we’ve been brainwashed to celebrate them. We have been lied to about the true history of holidays in hopes to BURY THE TRUTH because this holiday as well as all other holidays have evil histories and are used to generate money but the ignorance of people is needed in order to do this. Some Christians have heard the truth but will excuse celebrating Thanksgiving by saying things like, “I’ve been celebrating it my whole life and I’m not stopping now” or “I’m celebrating it just to show God that I’m thankful”, “God knows my heart”, “Since I didn’t know the history of celebrating it, God won’t judge me for doing it”, etc…

Westerners have been taught to believe that the Pilgrims and “the Indians” harmoniously shared the “first Thanksgiving” meal in 1621, the “Indians” referred to so generically are the ancestors of the contemporary members of the Wampanoag Nation. As the story commonly goes, the Pilgrims who sailed from England on the Mayflower and landed at what became Plymouth, Massachusetts, in 1620 had a good harvest the next year. So Plymouth Gov. William Bradford organized a feast to celebrate the harvest and invited a group of “Native American allies, including the Wampanoag chief Massasoit” to the party. The feast lasted three days and, according to chronicler Edward Winslow, Bradford sent four men on a “fowling mission” to prepare for the feast and the Wampanoag guests brought five deer to the party. And ever since then, the story goes, Americans have celebrated Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday of November. THAT’S THE LIE THAT AMERICANS HAVE BEEN BRAINWASHED TO BELIEVE!
Their skin was dark. Their languages were foreign. Their land was beautiful and their world views and spiritual beliefs were beyond most white men’s comprehension.
According to historian Susan Bates (Native American History Teacher) The story began in 1614 when a band of English explorers sailed home to England with a ship full of Patuxet Indians bound for slavery. They left behind smallpox which virtually wiped out those who had escaped. By the time the Pilgrims arrived in Massachusetts Bay they found only one living Patuxet Indian, a man named Squanto who had survived slavery in England and knew their language. He taught them to grow corn and to fish, and negotiated a peace treaty between the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Nation. At the end of their first year, the Pilgrims held a great feast honoring Squanto and the Wampanoags.

But as word spread in England about the paradise to be found in the new world, religious zealots called Puritans began arriving by the boat load. Joined by other British settlers, they seized land, capturing strong young Natives for slaves and killing the rest. But the Pequot Nation had not agreed to the peace treaty Squanto had negotiated and they fought back. The Pequot War was one of the bloodiest Indian wars ever fought.

In 1637 near present day Groton, Connecticut, over 700 men, women and children of the Pequot Tribe had gathered for their annual Green Corn Festival which is our Thanksgiving celebration. In the predawn hours the sleeping Indians were surrounded by English and Dutch mercenaries who ordered them to come outside. Those who came out were shot or clubbed to death while the terrified women and children who huddled inside the longhouse were burned alive. The next day the governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony declared “A Day Of Thanksgiving” because 700 unarmed men, women and children had been murdered.
Cheered by their “victory”, the brave colonists and their Indian allies attacked village after village. Women and children over 14 were sold into slavery while the rest were murdered. Boats loaded with a many as 500 slaves regularly left the ports of New England. Bounties were paid for Indian scalps to encourage as many deaths as possible.
Following an especially successful raid against the Pequot in what is now Stamford, Connecticut, the churches announced a second day of “thanksgiving” to celebrate victory over the heathen savages. During the feasting, the hacked off heads of Natives were kicked through the streets like soccer balls. Even the friendly Wampanoag did not escape the madness. Their chief was beheaded, and his head impaled on a pole in Plymouth, Massachusetts — where it remained on display for 24 years.

The killings became more and more frenzied, with days of thanksgiving feasts being held after each successful massacre. George Washington finally suggested that only one day of Thanksgiving per year be set aside instead of celebrating each and every massacre. Later Abraham Lincoln decreed Thanksgiving Day to be a legal national holiday during the Civil War — on the same day he ordered troops to march against the starving Sioux Indians in Minnesota.
This is the LIE that Westerners are taught in history class and brainwashed to believe. The Indians didn’t shake hands with the British, the Indians were tortured by the British, and to celebrate each successful massacre, the British had a “Thanksgiving” feast.
This story doesn’t have quite the same fuzzy feelings associated with it as the one where the Indians and Pilgrims are all sitting down together at the big feast. But we need to learn our true history so it won’t ever be repeated. This “Thanksgiving”, when you gather with your loved ones to Thank God for all your blessings, think about those people who only wanted to live their lives and raise their families but were instead massacred, enslaved and raped by the British. They, also took time out to say “thank you” to Creator for all their blessings.
When you’ve been presented with the truth, you have a decision to continue on in falsehood or to stand on the truth. The truth is that thanksgiving was created by Europeans celebrating the murdering of native Americans and then stealing their land that we are now paying people who are not native American to build houses on- Americans are enjoying stolen land that cost native Americans their lives and we are celebrating Thanksgiving with no mention or care or knowledge of that fact. Thanksgiving is a holiday that was created by a Christian to celebrate the murder of native Americans by Christians.

We should be thankful EVERYDAY and give God thanks EVERYDAY according to the scriptures. God never told us to set aside one day and call it Thanksgiving, that is a tradition of men- Abraham Lincoln made that declaration, not God.

There’s so many things that I’m begining to learn about these Western holidays that we Africans ignorantly celebrate. We celebrate them believing that they are innocent because the white people celebrates them. This would be the same as me celebrating a holiday that was created to uplift slavery. May God forgive me for following the traditions of man instead of doing only what He told us to day. To give thanks daily is what God commands us to do.

I’ve known this truth for many years now and stopped celebrating Thanksgiving immediately after learning the truth. It’s sad that most people who claim to love God would rather die than to walk 100% in the truth.

The saddest part about this is that I am a Native American and a lot of Native Americans know that this is true but because they are sorry and love to eat more than anything else they still eat and celebrate Thanksgiving and it makes me sick! I hate to say it. Most people say that they want to know the truth, but when the truth is presented to them they don’t act on that truth. It’s a damn shame! I mean, would it kill you people to not celebrate a day that our forefathers were slaughtered and a holiday was created out of their shed blood? My people make me sick!

The church doesn’t tell us anything because it will co$t them! Thanksgiving as we know it today is a lie, Christmas and all the rest of the holidays have not one thing to do with God. Christians are so blinded by tradition they can’t see scriptures that are written plainly teaching us against following any holiday. We are in this world but are not of this world and should not join in the festivities that the world does but people dont want to hear that because of tradition.

Tell the truth! Westerners make all kinds of excuses to partake in evil. But on the last day these same people if given a chance will stay away from these things in an effort to fool God- but you can’t fool God. There’s a lot of thng pastor wont tell us because he dont want to lose members. I’ve noticed an evil going on and it’s that the pastors have learned to control and manipulate their congregations but the eyes of Gods people are opening. Our pastor celebrates all holidays and I do mean all of them! And the church does also. For Valentines Day there is a dance in the church annex, for Easter there is an Easter Egg hut in the church yard for small kids while the other older kids say their Easter speech on the inside and perform an Easter play while the women and men show off their new Easter suits and dresses. For Halloween we have a haunted house in the Masonic hall (on the lower level, not where the meetings are held), for Thanksgiving it’s all about food and hearing sermons of being thanksful and in December we have a big tree in the church with gifts underneath where we pull names and leave gifts for each other, we also have a love offering for the pastor. Nothing has ever been taught to us about the pagan history of these holidays or why we shouldn’t celebrate them. When it comes to being separate and calling people out on their sin, we have so many gay people in the choir it’s not funny. I think that gay spirit will try to attach itself to you if you hang around then people long enough.

It’s about time the truth was put out there about the truth of Thanksgiving. The holiday should be outlawed if you ask me. The saddest thing is that my own people have been brainwashed for so long that even if you tell them the truth about the holiday they still celebrate it. That’s a shame indeed. God says to be separated from the Gentiles, that’s not a hard thing to do if you really love God.

Not only should Native Americans not be celebrating the aweful day in history which was non less a small holocaust, African Americans should not celebrate this holiday either because they are Hebrews. There is a dark history behind every American Holiday, people should do their homework and do history before indulging. The Lord tells us not to indulge for a reason.

There’s not one holiday in America that should be celebrated unless you are a Christian. People just do things because every one else does them and dont have the guts to stand for whats right. People talk the talk but are too afraid to stand on what they say they believe in. God says to be separate that means to be separate. We should live to be holy and serve God, not live to keep up with worldly fads that come and go and customs of the heathen. We should be thankful every day. Every single day is a blessing.

BE SEPARATE. That’s the only way to be holy and maintain it, and obey God. As far as I’m concerned, every holiday in America is pagan- it has evil roots. The problem is most people are sheep- they do what everyone else is doing even if they have a feeling that something isn’t quite right about it. They don’t investigate anything they just monkey see monkey do it. It’s really pathetic, even the ones who call themselves well learned are ignorant. If you don’t have guts, the guts to walk alone if need be, the guts to leave family and friends who are going opposite of the truth you wont have a chance in heaven of being in heaven. Once you’ve heard the truth, you can no longer say “I didn’t know” or “I never heard that”. I personally, left it all- all holidays, birthdays, everything and have committed myself to working on me being holy, cleaning the filth off of my soul that has been accumulated my entire life. Not an easy task. Some people ask why don’t I celebrate my birthday, I tell them, “Why should a rapist celebrate his birthday? Does he celebrate the fact that his mother gave birth to him so that he could rape women? Why should a sinner celebrate their birthday when they aren’t making an effort of being holy, Why the attention be all on me for one day- why should I be praised for an entire day when I have miserably failed God by being an idol worshiper, a gossiper, a lair, a cheat,,, I thank God everyday for allowing me to breath His air, as far as I’m concerned I’m not worthy only God is worthy to be celebrated NOT ME.

Most people just don’t care. It’s sickening but what can one do? The best thing is if God gave you the blessing of learning the truth, thank Him by obeying the truth even if you’re the only one. It’s not easy at first, but it gets easier.
